His career has led him around the globe as both a surgeon and a visiting lecturer, with significant engagements in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Istanbul, Hungary, Switzerland, Poland, Russia, Romania, and Austria.

Sheinkop served as a first lieutenant and captain in the Medical Corps of the United States Air Force Reserve. He now resides in Chicago with his wife of 56 years, Sharon.
